Child Protection Policy

Al Makassed places students’ safety and wellbeing at the heart of its mission through prevention, early detection, action, and confidential follow-up.

Child Protection Policy

Al Makassed is deeply committed to ensuring quality and equitable education by providing a safe, caring, and protective environment for all students. The Child Protection Policy places students’ safety and wellbeing at the center of its mission, aiming to protect, detect, take action, and follow up on any cases of abuse or inappropriate behavior while maintaining strict confidentiality. Through this policy, the school ensures that every child grows and learns in an environment free from violence, risk, or discrimination.

The policy’s main commitments include ensuring students’ mental and physical wellbeing, establishing a safe school environment, identifying and addressing cases of violence through early detection, and protecting the confidentiality of all related information.

Built on international standards, the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child, and Lebanese Law 422/2002, the policy reflects Al Makassed’s dedication to child rights and legal accountability. It emphasizes that all children are equal and must be treated without discrimination; that the child’s best interest is the primary concern in all decisions; that every child has the right to live, grow, and develop in a healthy and safe environment; and that children’s voices should be heard and respected in all matters concerning them.
