A.B.A.T. Writing Center
Free, individualized writing consultations that develop confident, independent, and lifelong writers at A.B.A.T.
Established in collaboration with the Writing Center at the Lebanese American University (LAU), the A.B.A.T. Writing Center supports the school’s mission of providing high-quality education and nurturing lifelong learners who can communicate effectively across different writing genres.
The Center offers free writing consultations to students, teachers from various disciplines, and members of the wider Makassed community. During each session, trained tutors guide writers in identifying their goals, developing their ideas, and making informed decisions about their work. Support is adapted to different learning styles, with the ultimate aim of developing confident and independent writers.
The Writing Center plays an important role in strengthening students’ written communication skills. Its individualized approach helps reduce writing anxiety, encourages a more positive attitude toward writing, and supports improvements in both writing performance and academic achievement.
