Student Council
The voice of the A.B.A.T. student body — leadership, civic responsibility, teamwork, and effective communication.
The A.B.A.T. Student Council represents the voice of the student body and provides students with valuable opportunities to develop leadership, civic responsibility, teamwork, and effective communication skills.
The Council consists of a President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, and Public Relations Officer, all elected by their peers in the intermediate and secondary school divisions. In collaboration with the school counsellor, Council members participate in organizing events and proposing projects and initiatives that promote a positive, inclusive, and engaging school environment.
To ensure that every student has an opportunity to be heard, the A.B.A.T. Student Council collaborates with the Makassed Student Council, which represents students across all Makassed schools. It also works closely with the SAWA Unit at the Makassed Education Office to empower student leaders and encourage them to serve their schools and communities.
